SURAT-PENGANTAR-BIMBINGAN-PROPOSAL-DAN-SKRIPSI-14-NOVEMBER-Ganjil-2025_2026Proposal and thesis guidance will begin after this announcement is issued. Title changes/improvements are possible during the guidance stage, subject to the consideration and approval of the supervisor, while still adhering to applicable administrative guidelines and procedures at UIN Mataram.
Thesis Writing Guidance Provisions
Based on UIN Mataram Thesis Writing Guidelines for the 2025–2026 Academic Year pp. 87-88, the following are the provisions for thesis writing guidance that all students must pay attention to:
- Guidance Objectives
Guidance is carried out to provide input to students in:- preparation of research proposals,
- implementation of research activities,
- preparation of reports/thesis, and
- preparation for the implementation of the thesis munaqasyah.
- Quality Assurance and Academic Ethics
Guidance aims to improve the quality of student research results and pay special attention to preventing replication and plagiarism of scientific works. - Minimum Frequency of Guidance
Guidance is carried out at least 6 (six) times, starting from the determination of the title/proposal until the writing of the thesis is declared complete.
Fulfillment of these provisions proven by a consultation card which has been signed by the supervisor. - Recording of Each Guidance Session
At each guidance meeting, the supervising lecturer must fill out the consultation form provided by the department/study program by listing the material consulted (see example in Appendix 19 of the guidelines). - Number of Supervisors
Each student is guided by two supervising lecturers determined by the department/study program. - Qualifications of Supervisor Lecturer
The supervising lecturer is a permanent lecturer (civil servant or non-civil servant) who:- have a minimum academic qualification of S2 (Masters) or S3 (Doctorate), and
- have a functional position as low as Assistant Expert (III/b).
- Replacement of Supervisor
The supervising lecturer can be replaced by the department/study program if:- the guidance process lasts more than 1 (one) semester/6 (six) months from the date of issuance of the guidance assignment letter;
- the supervisor is permanently unable to attend, for example due to death, long-term illness, continuing studies, or being transferred;
- at the request of the supervisor concerned;
- at the request of the student if the lecturer has never carried out his/her guidance obligations, by attaching accountable evidence.
